Our staff loves to read! We have a varied taste in books. Rich and Elisabeth are involved in reading and discussing current events. They both like books on history and interesting biographies. Rich’s light reading runs toward Bill Bryson or Tom Clancy. Elisabeth’s light reading is travel essay. Jadia likes the children’s books for her two babies. Jadia also likes mystery, books with a fast past or a light entertaining touch. Deon is a voracious reader, immensely eclectic in her tastes. She enjoys reading V.S. Naipaul’s biting social commentary, Fraser’s lyrical prose, Hiaasen’s outrageous mysteries, Charles Dickens wonderful books, and Joan Hess’s slapstick funny mysteries. Deon reads just about anything. Flashman concentrates on the animal section; he is keen to see if any of the books will result in more treats for him. We hope you enjoy some of our picks.
